My Connections Overview

My Connections is a custom skill for Amazon Alexa devices with a visual display like the Echo Show.  

My Connections allows users to receive and display standard text messages with attached content like photos, videos and messages sent to the users assigned phone number by a standard Smart Phone.  The message portion will be played as sound when the item is displayed on the Echo Show.

My Connections is built for users who don't have a wireless Smart Phone or, are unable to use a Smart Phone.  Messages can be sent by anyone with a Smart Phone and the users number.  They are standard text messages using SMS and MMS to transport photos, videos and messages.

My Connections is a voice only skill.  No screen interaction is required.  The skill can be activated with three words - Alexa My Connections.

In order to remove barriers to usage, My Connections displays content on a continuous timed interval loop.  It does not require further commands to move or skip to the next message.  There are voice command to move forward or backward within the selection.  However no selection is required to start the display.
